About This Test

The VMware Certified Advanced Professional 5 - Data Center Administration (VCAP5-DCA) is a unique, lab-based exam where you will perform tasks using actual equipment to verify your skill at installing, configuring, and administering large and complex virtualized environments.

Unlike the VCP exams, the VCAP is lab based and in order to pass it, you really need to spend some quality hands-on time in a lab environment.  In the Official VCAP5-DCA Cert Guide, the authors recommend you create your own lab environment to practice the procedures discussed throughout the book. The same holds true for these practice sets. Nothing will help you more on the exam than practice and getting comfortable in the lab.

The exercises created for these practice sets are simulations of what you might find on the VDCA510 and VDCA550 exams. They align with the objectives found on VMware’s VCAP-DCA blueprint, which can be found here. Further, you will notice that each exercise references an Objective and a location in the Guide to find information should you get stuck or have a question.

Once you reach the point where you can quickly perform the associated administration tasks without having to look at the book or other references for guidance, then you should pass the VCAP5-DCA exam
