Scenario:
You are responsible for configuring the virtual network in a vSphere environment. You want to design the virtual network in a vSphere environment to maximize its scalability. You want to configure a distributed port group to use as few virtual ports as possible.
Requirements:
- Configure the distributed port group, such that its binding is similar to the binding provided by standard virtual switch port groups, where ports are assigned to the port group only when virtual adapters are connected.
Environment Information:
- Distributed virtual switch: dvSwitch0
- Distributed port group: Bind-1

Solution
- Using the vSphere Client, navigate to Inventory > Networking.
- Right-click the Bind-1 port group, and change the Binding to Ephemeral.
