Scenario 6
< Back | Next>
Scenario:
You are responsible for configuring the virtual network for the ESXi hosts in a vSphere environment. The ESXi hosts have a standard virtual switch where two vmkernel port are attached, one for the management network and one for vMotion. The virtual switch has two physical adapters attached. You want to configure virtual networking per VMware best practices.
Requirements:
- Configure explicit failover for the management and vMotion networks on the virtual switch of each ESXi host to conform to VMware best practices.
- Do not remove or add vmkernel ports, vmnics, or virtual switches.
Environment Information:
- vSwitch: vSwitch0
- vmkernel ports: Management Network and vMotion
- Network adapters: vmnic0 and vmnic1
