Scenario:

You are troubleshooting a problem reported by other administrators in which certain features in the vSphere Client are not working. They report that they can connect successfully to vCenter Server, but they cannot display the Overview performance graphs for a specific ESXi host. They indicate the Advanced performance graphs work well.

Requirements:

Use an ESXCLI command to display information on all LUNs.

Use an ESXCLI command to display information on just the target LUN.

Use an esxcfg-- command to display details on all the paths to the target LUN.

Use an ESXCLI command to display statistics for just a specific path to the LUN.

Use this command to list information on all storage devices (LUNs):

esxcli storage core device list

Use this command to list information on just a particulate storage device, including its multipathing plug-in assignment:

esxcli storage core device list -d naa.6000d771000020d40f1ac91fb172e72e

Use this command to closely examine the multiple paths:

esxcfg-mpath –l –d naa.6000d771000020d40f1ac91fb172e72e

Use this command to display the statistics for a particular path:

esxcli storage core path stats get --path vmhba33:C0:T0:L9
